Rheinsteig-Youth Hostel Jugendgästehaus Kaub
One of the highlights among the youth hostels in the World Heritage Valley is
the new Rheinsteig youth hostel in the historic centre of the little Rhine town
of Kaub. Together, the state of Rhineland- Palatinate, the Rhine-Lahn District
and the town of Kaub have invested roughly 11.5 million Euros to convert
the town’s “Altes Amtshaus” - in conjunction with a new annexe - into one of the state’s most modern youth hostels. The Rheinsteig youth hostel is situated directly on the Rheinsteig with views of the Rhine and the world- famous toll castle Pfalzgrafenstein which stands in the middle of the river. It has a total of 136 beds in single, twin, four-bed and multi- share rooms. All rooms have shower/ WC. The entrance area includes an attractive foyer with reception, a bistro and café/bar, a comfortable restaurant, snack area and children’s play area. For conferences etc. there are seven recreation and function rooms of varying sizes suitable for groups of 8 to 56 people. These can be combined to hold up to 150 people. There are barrier-free rooms available for wheelchair users.
