Gorges, ravines and climbs

Where there are valleys there must also be mountains. It’s the exciting topography of this upland landscape that makes the Rhine Valley so attractive.

What once inspired the first Rhine Romanticists is still impressive today.

Some of the side valleys are veritable bottlenecks in which a particularly rich and varied plant life has established itself along the steeply rising elevations. The Morgenbach Valley near Trechtingshausen, the Pulsbachklamm near Kestert and the Ruppertsklamm near Lahnstein are out-of-the-ordinary destinations offering pleasant shivers of excitement to the visitor. You need to be sure-footed and kitted out with sturdy shoes to tackle these walks and if that is the case, then let the adventure begin!
