526 > 593 Rhine on skates
This event is a guided one day tour on inline skates through the UNESCO World Heritage Site ‘Upper Middle Rhine Valley’ and as the route covers a total distance of approx. 135 kilometres, it is one of the biggest one-day inline skating tours in the world. Roughly 1000 skaters take part in the spectacle.

With over 120 000 visitors every year, the Rheingau Music Festival is one of the leading events of its kind and at the same time it is the largest, almost entirely privately-funded music festival in Europe. Around 148 music events including classical chamber concerts, symphony concerts and oratorios as well as open air concerts and Kabarett evenings take place between Frankfurt/Wiesbaden and Lorch am Rhein.

At the ‘Culinary Summer Night’, wine producers, hotels and restaurants from Bacharach and the Valley of the Loreley invite the public to a festival of culinary delights.

555 > 557 Internationales Hansenfest, St. Goar
The Internationale Hansenorden e.V. zu St. Goar celebrates the Hansenfest at Rheinfels Castle. The association has its origins in a medieval merchants’ guild. Everyone who traded at the town’s markets and fairs had to be a member of this guild. Rheinfels Castle is the Ordensburg of the Hansen order which is where the Hansenfest is held each year. With its pageant and its ‘wine and water baptisms’ it also has the character of a typical regional festival.

585 Burgspiele, Lahnstein
Lahnstein’s municipal theatre presents classical comedies, popular theatre, Christmas plays, concerts, musicals, Kabarett evenings, readings and temporary exhibitions by local and more widely known artists. The theatre also produces the summer theatre festival at Lahneck Castle in August.

On five separate evenings, the city on Rhine and Moselle becomes a paradise for inline skaters who can glide along attractive routes, enjoying a unique sense of freedom. These trendy ‘Skatenights‘ are made possible through the expertise of the “Skate-On” school of inline skating and the dedication of the Sportbund Rheinland-Pfalz. They are no longer just a local event, but attract skaters from all over the Rhine-Moselle region.

592 Gaukler- und Kleinkunst Festival, Koblenz
The Street Performers’ and Arts Festival was held for the first time during the celebrations to mark the 2000 year anniversary of the city of Koblenz. It has since become a respected event throughout Germany and is one of the most popular events in the region. For three days Koblenz’s old town becomes a stage for a wide range of artists from different countries who are guaranteed to fascinate their audiences.
